Position: Electrical Engineer (Permanent)

We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our successful firm of Chartered Consulting Engineers to deal with an increase in workload and assist in the further development and growth of the building services team. 
 
We are seeking a motivated candidate to work on the design of various building services projects. This role predominantly covers the north of England, centred on Leeds, but will occasionally include sites across the UK.

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious competent electrical engineer to rapidly enhance their career to a client facing role in a relatively new department within an existing well established practice, with the opportunity to assist in the development of the mechanical engineering side of the business.

Technical competence would be a pre-requisite, together with the ability to work on their own initiative on projects following receipt of brief, on full range of electrical services on conventional engineering construction projects (mains systems, distribution, lighting, power, fire alarms, emergency lighting, security and CCTV, etc), within a wide range of project sectors (healthcare, commercial, offices, industrial, leisure, etc).

Working alongside the Head of Building Services within a multi-disciplinary consultancy, the candidate would be given the opportunity to develop existing Clients and to forge new opportunities and to manage these. 

The ability to address opportunities, communicate ideas to Clients, and to provide confidence to Clients is considered essential.

The candidate must be eligible to live and work in the UK and will ideally have more than 3 years previous UK based consultancy experience within this field of work.

The suitable candidate will possess:-

  • Minimum recognised HNC standard qualification
  • Knowledge and understanding of current technical standards
  • Excellent time and management skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Commitment to continued professional development
  • A full UK Driving Licence
